Is your name?
Another new page has been created in the attic section of the site.

It makes interesting reading for those whose names are listed. It also makes interesting reading for Lancashire folk as it contains lots of history from the county.

View the surnames page.

Swinging 60's
Remember the 1960's?

The fashions from this decade? Probably the best time for new fashions and trends as I've been told.

The next section is fashion from the 1960's.

Take a sneak preview now, lots more images coming soon.

1930's Housing online
As promised, the 1930's housing section is now online.

16 magnificent houses, all detached, ranging from under £500 to around £2,000. If only we could turn back the clock. ;)

1930's Housing
It's been a while since I have updated the blog so its time for an update.

More ads have been added and more are on the way.

A new section is coming soon - to document housing through the decades. I'm starting with the 1930's.

Thanks to local historian Ron Hunt for the loan of an old, rare book from 1936 titled "Houses for Moderate Means". Lots of houses with building costs, floor plans and photos will be added soon, watch this space!

Take a sneak preview of the 1930's housing.

New look
Another new look for the site, it's been a year since I last tinkered with it so a change was due.

I've moved the site again! 1&1 are poor, stay away from them.

Watch out for lots of updates soon.

Quiet?
I apologise for the lack of updates in the blog.

Since the last post I've been on holiday, started a new job and have been on a few walks down the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.
